Jeddah

Jeddah, located on the west coast of Saudi Arabia, is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city known for its historic architecture, bustling souks, and beautiful seaside promenade. The city is often referred to as the “Gateway to Mecca” and serves as a major point of entry for pilgrims traveling to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. But Jeddah is much more than just a transit hub, it is a destination in its own right.

One of the main attractions in Jeddah is the Old Town, or Al Balad, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is home to some of the city’s oldest and most beautiful buildings. Visitors can wander through the narrow streets and alleyways, admiring the intricate stonework and carved wooden balconies, and stopping at one of the many traditional coffee shops or restaurants along the way.

Another must-see attraction is the Corniche, a long seaside promenade that stretches for over 30 kilometers and offers stunning views of the Red Sea. Here, visitors can stroll along the waterfront, enjoy a meal at one of the many seafood restaurants, or simply sit and watch the world go by.

Jeddah is also known for its modern and innovative architecture, including the iconic King Fahd Fountain, which shoots water up to 300 meters into the air, and the Jeddah Tower, a futuristic skyscraper that, when completed, will be the tallest building in the world. Whether you are interested in history, culture, or cutting-edge design, Jeddah has something to offer everyone.
